Thalassemia occurs when our body cannot produce normal hemoglobin which is a substance that producing red color in red blood cells. It also is an oxygen carrier to the whole body.
Body Conditions: Hemoglobin will carry oxygen from lung to body tissue. It brings out unwanted toxin by monoxide carbon. For those who suffer from thalassemia, they are having problem with their hemoglobin factory. When there is bad hemoglobin entering the red blood cells, it will make the red blood cells not to function smoothly. This will bring to anemia. Thalassemia is an inherited illness. If a parent either father or mother has thalassemia, or grandparent has thalassemia, then their child is in higher chances to suffer from minor thalassemia. If both of parents are thalassemia positive, then their child also has thalassemia.
